Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo were established on the basis of the "Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo," signed in New York on September 23, 2011.
Relations between Azerbaijan and the Congo are carried out mainly within the framework of international organizations. Azerbaijan is interested in cooperation with African countries and in this context, it is essential to explore opportunities and hold bilateral high-level meetings for strengthening and developing relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in political, economic, cultural, educational, scientific and other fields.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
- On April 4-6, 2018, Deputy Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Leonard She Okitunda paid a working visit to our country to participate in the ministerial conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.
