Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Nigeria

 

Nigeria recognized the independence of Azerbaijan on the 11th of March 1992, and on the same date, diplomatic relations were established between the countries.

 

On November 22, 2021, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, received the credentials of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Azerbaijan (with residence in Tehran), Yakubu Santuraki Suleiman.
