Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Burundi
The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Burundi signed the Protocol on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations on March 2, 1995.
Friendly and cooperative relations exist between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Burundi. Both countries have promising opportunities for the development of political, economic, trade and investment spheres. At the same time, Azerbaijan and Burundi cooperate on issues of mutual interest within the framework of international organizations.
There is an Azerbaijan-Burundi inter-parliamentary working group in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Relations between Azerbaijan and Burundi are carried out mainly within the framework of international organizations.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
A delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Burundi, Ezekel Nibigira, visited Azerbaijan as part of the XVIII Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku on October 23-26, 2019.
