Republic of Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On October 31 2012, by Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2507, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of South Africa was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Angola, with the residence in the city of Pretoria.

Political relations between Angola and Azerbaijan are at a good level. There are great opportunities for the development of cooperation in the fields of economy and trade. Wide opportunities for cooperation also exist in the field of energy. After Angola gained independence, Azerbaijan made great contributions to the training of specialists in this country. Azerbaijan's higher educational institutions played an important role in training specialists, engineers, doctors, and military personnel.

Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Angola, Esmeralda Bravo Conde da Silva Mendons participated in the Summit Meeting of the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement on the fight against COVID-19 held in Baku on March 2, 2023.

On January 19, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola Tete Antonio within the framework of his visit to the Republic of Uganda to participate at the 19^th Summit meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement.
