Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau
On August 27, 1992, the Protocol on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau was signed.
The ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the Russian Federation is also accredited to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Guinea-Bissau are mainly developed within the framework of the UN and OIC. Bilateral relations are based on mutual respect and support for each other within the framework of international organizations. Within the framework of our cooperation with African countries, the high-level mutual visits are of great importance in terms of strengthening and further developing Azerbaijan-Guinea-Bissau relations in political, economic, cultural, tourism, education, science and other fields.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
- On June 19, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Suzi Barboza within the framework of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
