Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Zambia
On November 18, 1993, the Protocol on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Zambia was signed.
The Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in the Russian Federation is also accredited in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Zambia is mainly developed within the framework of the UN, NAM and other international organizations. There are good prospects for developing relations between the two countries in the political, cultural and humanitarian fields. In this context, it is important to update the contractual and legal framework between the two countries in order to deepen the cooperation in tourism and education.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
- A delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Zambia, Joseph Malanji, visited Azerbaijan as part of the XVIII Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku on October 23-26, 2019. Minister of Foreign Affairs Jozef Malanjin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov within the framework of the visit.
