Bilateral diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of San Marino
Azerbaijan established diplomatic relations with San Marino on April 19, 2002.
A limited number of visits have been made in the history of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and San Marino. Most of the contacts and communications have been carried out within the international organizations.
Mutual visits of the Heads of the States
- On 10-13 June 2015, Captain Regents of the Republic of San Marino Andrea Beluzzi and Roberto Venturini paid a working visit to Baku to participate at the opening ceremony of the inaugural European Games.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
- SOn September 7-9 2015, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of San Marino Pasquale Valentini paid an official visit to Baku.
- On May 2-3 2018, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of San Marino Nicola Renzi paid an official visit to Baku.
Contractual and legal framework
5 agreements have been signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of San Marino.
Economic cooperation
There are opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, industry, petrochemicals, tourism, high technologies and alternative energy.
