Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were established on the 23rd of September 1992.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has been active since 2013.
On the 25th to the 26th of October 2019, The Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Dang Thi Ngoc Thin, paid a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On the 12th to the 15th of September 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, paid an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Inter-parliamentary relations
The Working Group for Azerbaijani-Vietnamese Inter-Parliamentary Relations operates in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The group is chaired by Ali Masimli.
Contractual and legal framework
In total, seventeen documents were signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Economic co-operation
The Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam was established in 2013.
