Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Syrian Arab Republic
On the 16th of January 1992, the Syrian Arab Republic recognized the independence of the Azerbaijani state. Diplomatic relations with the Syrian Arab Republic were established on the 28th of March 1992. Cooperation between our countries has been carried out within the UN and ICT.

The Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic was established on the 4th of November 2009.
