Bilateral diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia were established on the 5th of April 1993.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Malaysia has been active since 2007.
On the 25th to the 26th of October 2019, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan.
On the 19th of January 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, was on a working visit to Malaysia.
Inter-parliamentary relations
The Working Group for Azerbaijani-Malaysian Inter-Parliamentary Relations operates in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The group is currently chaired by Vugar Bayramov.

In total, eight documents were signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
