Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mongolia
Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Azerbaijan were established on the 16th of April 1992. Mongolia has added Azerbaijan to its list of strategic partners.
Mutual visits of the Heads of the States
President of Mongolia, H.E. Khaltmaagiin Battulga, paid a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan to watch the World Judo Championship, which was held in Baku on September 28, 2018.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
Mongolian Foreign Minister, Mr. Luvsanvandan Bold, visited Baku to participate at the World Economic Forum held in Azerbaijan on April 2013;
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr. Tsogtbaatar Damdin, visited Baku to participate at the conference organized by the Silk Road Support Group of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on March 11-12, 2018.
Inter-parliamentary relations
There are inter-parliamentary friendship groups in the parliaments of the two countries.
Mr. Zahid Oruj is the head of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Mr. Dashdembereliin Bat-Erdene is the head of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in the State Great Khural of Mongolia.
