Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of Bangladesh
On December 30, 1991, the People's Republic of Bangladesh recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. On February 26, 1992, the two countries established diplomatic relations. Azerbaijan's ambassador to India is also accredited in Bangladesh. The ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in Türkiye is also accredited in Azerbaijan.
Mutual visits of the Heads of the Government
- On October 25-26, 2019, Mrs. Sheikh Hasina visited Azerbaijan to participate at the 18th summit of the heads of state and government of the countries that are members of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
- On June 9-11, 2013, Dipu Moni paid an official visit to Azerbaijan.
- On May 5-6, 2018, Elmar Mammadyarov visited Dhaka to participate at the 45th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC.
Inter-parliamentary relations
Huseynov Aydin is the head of Azerbaijan-Bangladesh inter-parliamentary working group.
