Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Lao People's Democratic Republic
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Lao People's Democratic Republic were established on the 22nd of May 1995.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lao People's Democratic Republic has been active since 2014 (with residence in Hanoi, Vietnam).
On June the 18th to the 20th of 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Salimsay Kommasit paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On the 15th to the 16th of September 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, paid an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
On the 5th to the 6th of April 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mr Salimsay Kommasit, paid a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
