The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 28th of December 1991.
The protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was signed on the 13th of February 1993.
On the 10th of December 2019, the Hashemite King of Jordan, H.E. Abdullah bin Hussein bin Talal, paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On the 25th of September 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi, within the framework of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
On the 28th of September 2018, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Refugees of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi, within the framework of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Contractual and legal framework
In total, thirty-four documents were signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on co-operation in various areas.
