Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Kuwait
A protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Kuwait was signed on the 10th of October 1994.
The Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Kuwait have solid political relations, as evidenced by an active and effective political discourse. Good political relations have produced favourable conditions for leveraging current possibilities in all industries. Direct flights have promoted the expansion of tourism cooperation and provided a foundation for commercial and economic engagement. Both bilaterally and within international platforms, the State of Kuwait has always supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Economic cooperation
On the 10th of February 2009, a Joint Commission for Cooperation was established between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait.
