Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were established on the 19th of January 1993
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kyrgyz Republic was established on the 11th of October 2007.
According to the Order of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated the 24th of October 2014, the Kyrgyz Republic established its Embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was on official visits to the Kyrgyz Republic on the 16th of September 2016 and 3rd of September 2018.
On the 3rd of September 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, paid a visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
On the 5th to the 6th of February 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chingiz Aydarbekov, paid a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Inter-parliamentary relations
The Working Group for Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Inter-Parliamentary Relations operates in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The head of the group is Musa Guliyev, a member of the Milli Majlis.
The Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Friendship Group for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation operates in the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic. The leader of the group is Tazabek Ikramov

In total, 58 documents were signed between the two countries.
Economic co-operation
According to the official information of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2020, the trade turnover between our countries will reach US$ 6.049MM. The export from the Republic of Kazakhstan to our country amounted to US$ 4.421MM, while the import was US$ 1.628MM. If compared to last year, there was a relative decrease in trade turnover between our countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
