Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Belgium
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Belgium was opened in 1995. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Azerbaijan was established in 2007.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, paid business visits to the Kingdom of Belgium on the following dates: 5-6 February 2017; 24 November 2017; 11-12 July 2018; and 13 December 2019.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, was on a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium on the 18th of December 2020.
Inter-parliamentary relations
The Working Group for Azerbaijan-Belgium Inter-Parliamentary Relations has been established in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The group is chaired by Kamal Jafarov.
On the part of Belgium, Mr Tim Vandenput is the group’s chairman responsible for bilateral relations in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

In total, eight documents were signed between Azerbaijan and Belgium.
