Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of North Macedonia
On the 25th of June 1995, The Republic of North Macedonia recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on the 28th of June 1995.
On the 10th to the 11th of March 2016, the President of North Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 4th Global Baku Forum.
On the 16th of March 2017, the President of North Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 5th Global Baku Forum.
On the 15th to the 17th of March 2018, the President of North Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, paid a working visit to our country to participate in the 6th Global Baku Forum.
Inter-parliamentary relations
On the 5th of December 2000, the Working Group for Azerbaijani-Macedonian Inter-Parliamentary Relations was established in the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan. At present, the group is chaired by Fazil Mustafa, a member of the Milli Majlis.
