Relations diplomatic between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Finland
The Republic of Finland recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 30th of December 1991. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on the 24th of March 1992.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Sweden is based in Stockholm and accredited to Norway and Finland. Finland does not have an embassy in our country, but with the residence in Helsinki, it has a practice of appointing a mobile ambassador to our country.
Inter-parliamentary relations
The Working Group for Azerbaijani-Finish Inter-Parliamentary Relations has been established in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The group is chaired by Razi Nurullayev.
Contractual and legal framework
In total, five documents were signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Finland.
Economic co-operation
More than 10 Finnish companies have been operating in Azerbaijan in such sectors as industry, trade, construction and services.
