Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Poland
Republic of Poland recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 27th December 1991, followed by the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations on 21th February 1992.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Poland was established on 30th August 2004. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Azerbaijan was established on 23rd August 2001.
Azerbaijan attaches importance to its bilateral relations with Poland and the bilateral ties include political, economic and humanitarian areas.

A working group on the Azerbaijan-Poland inter-parliamentary has been established in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The parliamentary group is chaired by Sattar Mohbaliyev, MP.
Contractual and legal framework
50 bilateral agreements have been signed between Azerbaijan and Poland.
Economic cooperation
Over the course of 1995-2022, Poland’s investments in Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector totaled 24.8 mln USD. Likewise, Azerbaijan has invested 42.7 million USD to Poland.
30 Polish companies are involved in various fields of Azerbaijan’s economy, including trade, construction, transportation and services. Polish Expo House have been operating in Baku since 12 October 2023, with a membership of about 20 Polish companies.
The Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Poland was established in 2006. The Commission has held 8 sessions, the last of which took place in Baku on 16 February 2023.
