Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 12th of February 1992.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka were established on the 4th of August 1992.On the 23rd of October 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Tilak Marapana, was on a visit in Azerbaijan to attend the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
