Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Thailand
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Thailand were established on the 7th of July 1992.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Thailand was appointed on July 2, 2024. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Türkiye is also accredited to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with Thailand within the framework of international institutions, especially the Non-Aligned Movement and the UN.
Mutual visits of the Heads of the States
On August 14-15, 2017, the delegation led by Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn paid an official visit to Azerbaijan.
Inter-parliamentary relations
A working group on Azerbaijan-Thailand inter-parliamentary relations operates in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Rufat Atakishi Guliyev is currently serving as the group's head.
