The Lebanese Republic
Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Lebanon
The Lebanese Republic recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 30th of December 1991. A protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was signed on the 28th of September 1992.
On the 27th of September 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic, Gebran Bassil, in New York as part of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
