Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Guinea
The Republic of Guinea, as one of the first states, recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on January 9, 1992, and, as the first African state, established diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan on March 11, 1992.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Guinea are mainly developed within the framework of the UN and OIC. There are wide opportunities for the development of cooperation in the economic field between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Guinea.
Mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs
- A delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov participated in the 40th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the theme "Dialogue between civilizations: Peace and sustainable development factor", which was held in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, on December 9-11, 2013.
