Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by John Hambrick, Speaker of Nevada Assembly of the USA
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stressing the participation of H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the IV Nuclear Security Summit held in Washington at the invitation of H.E Mr. Barak Obama, the President of the United States of America and Mr. President’s meetings with high United States officials expressed his confidence that Mr. President’s visit will contribute to the further development of relationship between Azerbaijan and the United States of America.
Minister noted the important role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the development of interstate relations.
Mentioning that Azerbaijan also gives high importance to the development of relations with the states of the United States of America, Elmar Mammadyarov emphasized that in this regard the Azerbaijani side is interested in expanding of ties in the economic-trade field with the State of Nevada.
Delivering his gratitude for warm reception, John Hambrick expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan and the meetings which he held. Noting that Nevada Assembly is also interested in the expansion of cooperation in the economic-trade field with Azerbaijan, he stressed that mutual visits of delegations consisting of Assembly members and businessmen could be important in this regard.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the regional and global issues of mutual interest.
