No:608/22, Press release on political consultations between Azerbaijan and Morocco
On 26-27 December 2022 political consultations were held between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat. From Azerbaijan, the consultations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, and by General Director on Asia and Oceania issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco Ambassador Abdulkader Al-Ansari from the Moroccan side.
During the consultations, the current status and prospects of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and inter-parliamentary fields, as well as cooperation within multilateral organizations, including the UN and Non-Aligned Movement were discussed.
Furthermore, in the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African cooperation and Moroccans abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco Nasser Bourita, which took place within the framework of the visit of the delegation of Azerbaijan to Morocco, various aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
Moroccan side was informed about the Summit-level Meeting of the NAM Contact Group in response to COVID-19 to be held in Baku in March 2023.
The delegation of Azerbaijan also conducted several meetings with the representatives of a number of education and research institutions.
