On 26 December 2024, Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, made a phone call to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
Minister M. Botchorishvili conveyed condolences to the family members of those who lost their lives as a result of the crash in Aktau on 25 December of the passenger aircraft belonging to “Azerbaijan Airlines” airline, operating the Baku–Grozny flight, and wished patience to the friendly people of Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that Georgia always stands by Azerbaijan on this tragic day.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked the friendly Georgian side for the condolences and for the support shown on a difficult day for our country and people.
