No:512/24, Press release on the telephone conversation between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On 26 December 2024, Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, made a phone call to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the telephone conversation, the other side expressed condolences on behalf of the state and people of Uzbekistan in connection with the tragic crash near the city of Aktau of the aircraft of our country operating the Baku–Grozny flight the previous day. He prayed to Allah to have mercy on those who passed away, wished patience to their relatives, and recovery to the injured.
It was stressed that the Republic of Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly Republic of Azerbaijan and shares its grief in these difficult days, and hope was once again expressed that such a tragedy will not happen again.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked the brotherly Republic of Uzbekistan for the condolences and for the support shown on a difficult day for our country and people.
It was stated that from the first minutes of the crash, in accordance with the instruction of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a state commission was established to investigate the causes of the aircraft crash, a delegation consisting of heads of relevant institutions of our country was dispatched to the crash site, and information was provided on the measures taken to eliminate the consequences of the crash and provide assistance to the injured.
