No:485/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Alexandre Fasel, State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation

On 5 December 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Alexandre Fasel, State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, within the framework of his participation in the 31st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
At the meeting, prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland, issues of cooperation within the framework of the OSCE, as well as regional and international security issues were discussed.
The Swiss side was also informed about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period and the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process. Despite the progress achieved regarding the conclusion of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, it was stressed that Armenia’s continuation of territorial claims against Azerbaijan hinders the peace process.
Along with this, at the meeting, an exchange of views was conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
