On 24 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Vahid Jalalzadeh, who is visiting our country.
During the meeting, the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between the two countries, as well as regional issues, were discussed.
The importance of contacts between the leaders of the two countries, including the existing political dialogue and inter-parliamentary relations, in the development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran was emphasized, and it was noted that discussions on issues of mutual interest contribute to the expansion of cooperation. It was noted that the two visits paid by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian to our country this year have given an additional impetus to relations.
The sides discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy, trade, energy security, transport and communications, and noted in particular that a number of projects implemented by Azerbaijan and Iran play an important role in the development of transport corridors passing through our region.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
