On 27 October 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Ayşe Berris Ekinci, who is on a visit to our country.
During the meeting, topics arising from the Azerbaijan-Türkiye alliance, as well as regional and international security issues were discussed.
It was stated that the historic Shusha Declaration, which enshrines allied relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Türkiye, is a manifestation of our existing brotherly and friendly ties. It was emphasized that, under the instruction of our leaders, it is important to further strengthen cooperation across political, security, economic, trade, energy, transport, communications, cultural-humanitarian and other aspects of our multidimensional allied relations.
It was emphasized that the joint efforts of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all international organizations, especially in the Organization of Turkic States, which is considered our family, are commendable, and confidence was expressed that the summit held in Gabala this year will serve to further strengthen the organization.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side in detail about the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and its various aspects, as well as issues arising from the Washington summit.
An exchange of views was held on the ongoing efforts in the Middle East, the Gaza region, Syria and African countries, as well as on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
On the same day, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Türkiye was held. At the political consultations, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov, and the Turkish delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayşe Berris Ekinci.
