No:403/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev

On 24 October 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev, who is on a visit to our country.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the priorities of our country’s chairmanship within the OTS, the issues on the organization’s agenda, and future plans.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that strengthening friendship, brotherhood and cooperation in all fields within our organization is a main priority, that Azerbaijan always supports the steps, initiatives and ideas taken within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States towards realizing this potential, and that it is important to further strengthen and expand the Secretariat of the organization and its observer status in international organizations.
The sides noted the importance of the informal summit held in Shusha last year, the Garabagh Declaration adopted during the summit, as well as the decisions adopted during the summit held in Gabala this year for multifaceted cooperation within the organization. The Secretary General conveyed his congratulations on the successful organization of the events held by our country.
Steps towards the implementation of the initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan during the Gabala summit were reviewed.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on issues of mutual interest.
