On September 13, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov had a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov gave detailed information to his interlocutor about the large-scale provocations of Armenia on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border starting at night on September 12 during a phone conversation. It was noted that Armenia opened fire on Azerbaijani positions, continued mining Azerbaijani territories and expanded the process of militarization in the region during the last month. In order to prevent the provocation of the armed forces of Armenia and military threats against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, and to ensure the safety of our military personnel and civilian workers involved in infrastructure works, it was stated that decisive response measures were taken by the units of the Azerbaijan Army.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stressed that the military tensions and provocations cause concern and that it is important for Armenia to completely fulfill its obligations within the framework of the reached agreements.
