On 20 August 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus conveyed his congratulations on the achievements in the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process within the framework of the Summit meeting held during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States.
During the telephone conversation, plans within the framework of Cyprus’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2026, as well as regional issues, were discussed. It was stated that Cyprus is ready to contribute to the peace process in our region during its EU Presidency.
During the telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
