No:334/25, Press release on the telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan

On 8 August 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye sincerely congratulated our country on the historic achievements reached during the Washington meeting of the Azerbaijan and Armenia leaders.
The ministers emphasized that the agreements reached, as well as the Joint Declaration signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia and witnessed by the President of the United States, are of great importance for ensuring peace and stability in the region. It was noted that the initialing of the peace agreement, as well as the joint call for the abolition of the OSCE Minsk Process and its relevant structures, constitute an important contribution to peace. The ministers expressed their expectation that a decision by the OSCE on the abolition of these structures will be adopted in the near future.
During the telephone conversation, issues arising from the Azerbaijan–Türkiye allied relations, as well as cooperation within regional and international organizations, were also discussed.
