On 30 June 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bobur Usmanov.
During the meeting, plans and joint projects arising from the Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan alliance, preparations for upcoming high-level bilateral visits, as well as the multilateral cooperation agenda, including preparations for the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to be held in our country, were discussed.
The importance of high-level contacts between the leaders of the two countries, as well as the role of the Intergovernmental Commission and the mechanism of political consultations in the development of the allied relations based on brotherhood and friendship between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, was emphasized.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
On the same day, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The consultations were led by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from the Azerbaijani side and Deputy Minister Bobur Usmanov from the Uzbek side.
