On May 13, 2022, an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was held.
ICRC Representative in Azerbaijan Arian Bauer, Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society Novruz Aslan and Head of the South Caucasus Cluster of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Davron Mukhamadiyev spoke at the event.
In his speech, Deputy Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev noted that the country has entered a post-conflict period as a result of the 44-day Patriotic war and the liberation of our lands, and also emphasized that overcoming the humanitarian consequences of the conflict, especially clarifying the fate of our missing compatriots, identification of human remains in mass graves found in the liberated territories and mine risk awareness remain an important area of cooperation with the ICRC. He said that this cooperation will continue in the interests of our people, within the humanitarian mandate of the ICRC and within the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
