No:138/26, Press release on consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan

On 2 April, the next consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan were held in the city of Baku.

 

During the consultations, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emil Safarov, and the Tajik delegation was led by the Head of the Main Consular Department, Bahodur Safarzoda.

 

At the meeting, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to our country, Ilhom Abdurahmon, as well as officials of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Sustainable and Operational Social Provision (DOST) Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated.

 

During the consular consultations, an exchange of views was held on the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the consular field.

 

Issues of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of justice, education, labour, social protection and other important areas were reviewed.

 

At the end of the negotiations, the protocol of the meeting was signed by the heads of the delegations of the two countries.

 

Within the framework of the consular consultations, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fariz Rzayev, received the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
