No:127/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan

On 19 March 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Azerbaijan Guo Min on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.
The sides, expressing satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, brought to attention that the high-level meetings held on various international platforms in recent times, high-level political contacts, and the exchange of mutual visits have given impetus to further deepening relations.
In line with the spirit of the political dialogue steadily developing between our countries on the basis of mutual trust and respect, the importance of expanding relations in the fields of economic-trade, culture, science and education, tourism, high technologies and a number of other directions was emphasized. The sides also expressed gratitude for the continuous support shown to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the two countries. It was stated that there is broad potential for the participation of Chinese companies in the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that additional prospects for cooperation between our countries have emerged within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), to be held in our country this year, as well as at future prestigious events.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Guo Min was thanked for his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries, and he was wished success in his future activities.
