No:091/25, Press release on consular consultations between Azerbaijan and Venezuela

On 6 March 2025, the first consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were held in a video-conference format.
The consultations were led by the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Emil Safarov, and by the Director General of the Office of Consular Relations of the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Maria Rafaela Suarez Hernandez.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Venezuela, Ruslan Rzayev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Azerbaijan, Christopher Martinez.
During the consultations, the current state and prospects of cooperation in the consular field between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were discussed, as well as opportunities to expand the bilateral legal and contractual framework in this area.
At the same time, the importance of exchanging best practices in the provision of digital consular services was emphasized.
In addition, issues of cooperation between our countries in migration, labor, social protection and other areas were considered.
