On 9 February 2024, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the newly reappointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated his counterpart on his reappointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the newly formed Government of Georgia and wished him success in this honorable position.
The sides discussed the current state of friendship and strategic partnership relations between the two countries, as well as existing plans and prospects for the further development of these relations.
The ministers also exchanged views on regional issues and areas of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
