Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met with Kyllike Sillaste-Elling, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia on the sidelines of the 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) held in Baku
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on regional and international issues and the current state of cooperation between the two countries.
Informing about the current state of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict Minister Elmar Mammadyarov drew the attention on the relevant resolutions on the conflict, adopted by the UN Security Council. The Minister said that even though the immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from all occupied territories of Azerbaijan is stated in the resolutions, it has not been fulfilled yet. The Minister noted that in order to achieve progress in resolving the conflict, first of all the Armenian armed forces have to be withdrawn from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
They also exchanged views on regional projects implemented by the initiative and participation of Azerbaijan and highly appreciated Azerbaijan's role as a reliable partner of the European Union.
