Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Eladio Loizaga, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Eladio Loizaga, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly on September 29, 2015.
At the meeting the sides noted the vast potential to boost the relations between Azerbaijan and Paraguay in different fields and the importance of organizing mutual visits as well as holding the political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both countries.
At the meeting the sides exchanged their views on the regional and international issues as well as landlocked developing countries format, Paraguay's activities in MERCOSUR, Azerbaijan's relations with Latin American countries and Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
Giving a brief information about latest condition of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and Armenia's non-constructive position in the negotiation process Minister Elmar Mammadyarov noted the relevant statement adopted by the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Paraguay on September 10, 2015.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov invited his counterpart to pay a visit to Azerbaijan. Eladio Loizaga thanked for the invitation and on his turn he also invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to pay a visit to Paraguay.
At the end of the meeting the Ministers signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay".
