Appeal by Thomas Seifert, editor-in-chief of “Wiener-Zeitung” newspaper of Austria with regard to illegally visiting the occupied territories of Azerbaijan
A citizen of Austria, editor-in-chief of “Wiener-Zeitung” newspaper Thomas Seifert who made an illegal visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan addressed an official letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asking for not adding his name into the “List of Foreign citizens illegally visited to occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
In his letter Thomas Seifert reaffirmed his full respect to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders and stressed that his visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan does not imply the lack of respect for the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan over those territories.
The appeal by Thomas Seifert, including his status as media representative was considered and it was decided not to add his name into the list.
