Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Minsk Group Co-Chairs
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Minsk Group Co-Chairs James Warlick (USA), Igor Popov (Russian Federation), Pierre Andrieu (France) and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Person Andrzej Kasprzyk on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council on December 2, 2015 in Belgrade.
At the meeting the sides exchanged their views on current state of the negotiations process over the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict with the mediation of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, action plan of the MG co-chairs for the upcoming period and the possibilities of holding the meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stressed the importance of redoubling the efforts of the MG Co-Chairs for the resolution of the conflict on the basis of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders in accordance with the relevant four resolutions of UN Security Council. Minister added that for the settlement of the conflict, first and foremost, the armed forces of Armenia must be withdrawn from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
