Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Philipp Stalder, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Ambassador Philipp Stalder presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov expressed his satisfaction with the development of relations between two countries. He stressed the importance of carrying out the political dialogue and political consultations on a regular basis between two countries and continuing the cooperation within the international organizations.
Ambassador Philip Stalder expressed his country’s interest to develop comprehensive cooperation in all spheres with Azerbaijan and vowed to spare no efforts to enhance the bilateral relations during his diplomatic mission. He underlined that Swiss companies specialized in production of railcar, cement, pharmaceuticals, construction and other fields are successfully operating in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the important role of high-level reciprocal visits in the development of bilateral relations was also highlighted.
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov wished to Ambassador Philipp Stalder every success in his diplomatic activities.
