Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Minister of Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Minister of Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar within his visit to Azerbaijan, attending the Annual Meeting of Asian Development Bank.
Elmar Mammadyarov expressed his satisfaction on development l of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. He also pointed out that the firm and consistent support by Pakistan to Azerbaijan’s stance on resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict is highly appreciated.
He stressed the importance of mutual official and business visits in strengthening bilateral relations and characterized the last visit of the President of Pakistan, H.E Mamnoon Hussain to Azerbaijan as a contribution to deepening of bilateral relations.
Mohammad Ishaq Dar appreciated the current level of friendship and partnership relations within bilateral and multilateral frameworks. Meanwhile, he talked about the potential opportunities for developing economic and trade relations in the spirit of bilateral political relations. Minister also underlined the importance of holding the 48th Annual Meeting of Board of Governors in Baku and informed about the productive discussions within the Meeting.
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov also pointed out that the opening of the Office of National Bank of Pakistan in Azerbaijan will pave the way to further development of economic ties.
At the end, Mohammad Ishaq Dar congratulated Azerbaijan for hosting the first ever European Games and expressed his confidence of holding the event in the highest level.
