No:480/21, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Dendias

On December 2, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Dendias within the framework of the 28th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm.        

  

At the meeting, the current state of Azerbaijani-Greek bilateral relations was discussed. The sides expressed interest in developing bilateral relations.     

Ministers spoke about bilateral cultural and tourism relations between Azerbaijan and Greece, noting the opportunities for expanding ties in other areas, including energy.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his interlocutor about the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, its grave consequences, the current situation in the region after the 44-day war last year, new realities in the post-conflict period, restoration and reconstruction of liberated territories. Issues related to the implementation of trilateral statements were noted.     


The importance of starting the process of delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the basis of the principles of international law was emphasized.

At the meeting, the sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
