On 29 November 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and received Mohammad Faisal Almutairi, newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to our country.
Ambassador of the State of Kuwait Mohammad Faisal Almutairi presented a copy of his letter of credence to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success in his future activities.
It was stressed that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the State of Kuwait, and that the development of bilateral, including multilateral, cooperation over these years causes satisfaction.
The importance of intensifying the activities of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait in the direction of further developing our bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, investments, tourism and other directions, was noted.
The importance of continuing mutual support and cooperation hereafter within the framework of regional and international organizations, particularly the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Gulf Cooperation Council, was emphasized.
The sides conducted detailed discussions on the outcomes of COP29. It was emphasized that the successful conference under the leadership of our country is an important contribution to efforts in the direction of combating climate change.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that the existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait will continue to develop on an upward trajectory hereafter, and stated that he will spare no efforts in this direction.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
