On 2 December 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad of the Republic of The Gambia, Sering Modou Njie.
During the telephone conversation, views were exchanged on issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and The Gambia.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated his counterpart on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished him success in his future activities.
The sides discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and The Gambia within international organizations, particularly the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as priorities related to The Gambia’s chairmanship of the OIC and Azerbaijan’s upcoming chairmanship.
During the telephone conversation, regional issues of mutual interest were also reviewed.
